Although usually thought of as afflicting only elderly patients, strokes may occur as early as infancy. But a seemingly
healthy 13-year-old, who suddenly found himself unable to move the left side of his body to get into a car, was fortunate that his family acted
quickly.

Acupressure (applying pressure with the thumbs or fingertips to the same points on the body stimulated in acupuncture)
seems to be more effective in reducing low back pain than physical therapy, finds a study published online by the British Medical Journal.

report says a federal official approved a device to treat persistent depression against the advice of an advisory committee.

drugs. This week, the director of the FDA's division of psychiatry products says it would be unusual for the agency to issue a 'black box'
