                                               Billing and Peace of Mind

Sometimes people get very upset because their insurance companies don’t pay as expected, and they then receive an unexpected bill from the therapist.  That won’t happen with us.  We take great care to communicate clearly and accurately with your insurance company so we understand the terms of your policy precisely. 

So, if your deductible is paid and you make your co-payment each week, you’ll never receive a bill from us-Guaranteed!

Affiliated Counseling and Referral Services is a state of the art professional group that is results-oriented.  We view psychological and marriage counseling as a series of consultations that are linked together, each building on the previous visit and reaching toward the next, in a rather informal but amazingly elegant pattern.

3. Discussing your successes and ways to improve on them during your next visit.

                                           Repetition is the “Gold Standard”

In order to achieve significant success, repetition, review and practice of new ways of thinking and behaving are crucial.  It’s how improvements which are awkward and effortful, at first, become natural and effortless later.  Also, counseling and therapy are like any other important learning and self-improvement programs.  Sometimes you are enthusiastic about coming, other times you may be fatigued or feel somewhat resistant.  This is par for the course, but must not interfere with your commitment and determination for results!.

                                                       Your First 8 Weeks

Generally, meaningful results in counseling require at least 8 visits.  To facilitate consistency in those important beginning weeks, these first 8 weeks of appointments are reserved and scheduled as a block, in advance. Within that reserved block, you will be charged for each week as it arrives, even if you miss your appointment.  However, if you cancel an appointment with at least 24 hrs notice, you are entitled to re-schedule another during the same week only, at no extra charge.

However, if we are unable to find a mutually suitable time for the replacement appointment, if you fail to schedule it, or, if you don’t keep it, you will still be charged for it. 

After your first 8 weeks of appointments, you no longer are required to reserve more than one at a time, however, if you fail to show-up for an appointment or cancel less than 24 hrs in advance, you will still be charged.
